Gift-givers

Do I need an account to pick a gift?

No. Open the list link you were sent, tap the gift you'll buy, and enter your first name. Your pick is saved on that phone or computer.

I picked a gift as a guest. Can I change it from another device?

Guest picks belong to the device you made them on. To change a pick elsewhere, go back to the same phone or browser. If you make a free account on that same device, your picks move to your account and follow you everywhere.

Will the person I'm buying for see what I picked?

No. The list owner doesn't see who picked what, or whether anything was picked, until the date they set. Other gift-givers only see that an item is taken, so nobody buys it twice.

How do I ask about a size or color without spoiling it?

Use the question button on the item. The owner sees your question but not which gift you're planning to buy. You can also suggest a substitute.

List owners

How do I share my list?

Open your list and use the share button to send its link by text or email. Anyone with the link can see the list, so send it only to people you trust.

Why can't I see what people picked?

That's surprise protection. You'll see who gave what after the date you set for the list, in time to send thank-yous.

I opened my own list and saw the picks.

If you open your own link while signed out, you see the guest view. Sign in first to keep the surprise.

How does the draw work?

The organizer adds everyone, sets a spending limit and a date, and can add can't-draw rules, such as couples not drawing each other. MyLinkList draws the names so nobody draws themselves. Each person only sees who they drew.

Can I message my match?

Yes. Send an anonymous question to the person you drew. They can answer without finding out who's asking.

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot your password? and enter your email. We'll send a reset link. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes.

How do I turn alerts on or off?

Go to your profile and open the notification settings. You can turn each type on or off, such as birthday reminders, new questions and price drops. For phone alerts, you can also use your phone's settings.

How do I delete my account?

Open your profile and tap Delete my account. Your lists, items, photos and profile are deleted. If you can't sign in, email support@mylinklist.app from the email address on your account and we'll do it for you. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

How do you use my information?

Only to run MyLinkList. We never sell your information or show ads. Read the full Privacy Policy.
